States of Water
States of Water is an ongoing series focused on transformation, instability, and the temporary structures formed by water.
Ice crystals, salt deposits reflections, and movement become visible through analogue photographic processes, turning short-lived natural events into physical images.

Frozen Forms VI
lumen Print, 2026
Formed through moisture, sunlight and shifting temperatures during exposure.
40 - 60 cm

IceFlower IV
cyanotype, 2025
Branching frost patterns formed across the paper and held through development.
40 - 50 cm

Like Saltwater II
cyanotype on Paper, 2025
Made in the Indian Ocean shorelines over several days, where seawater and drying salt built layered crystal deposits
60 - 60 cm

IceFlower III
cyanotype on paper, 2025
Produced during a freeze-thaw cycle as morning light-exposed the surface.
50 - 70 cm

River Traces II
lumen Print, 2025
Placed in a shallow stream where sand, and moving water left traces across the surface.
50 - 60 cm

IceFlower I
cyanotype on paper, 2025
Made only under specific combinations of humidity, frost and UV conditions
60 - 80 cm

Frozen Forms V
Lumen Print, 2026
Crystals formed on photographic paper overnight, then selectively exposed through controlled night light.
70 - 120 cm

Like Saltwater V
cyanotype on paper, 2025
Repeated contact with Indian Ocean water created dense salt growth and fine crystalline veins.
60 - 80 cm

IceFlower VI
cyanotype on paper, 2025
Ice-crystals formed directly on the coated paper overnight and were exposed by the rising sun.
24 - 32 cm

River Traces VI
lumen Print, 2026
Capturing water movements, stones and sediments of a mountain river.
40 - 60 cm
